I am considering going there for my honeymoon in October.

Great time to travel there! There’s one rustic all-inclusive on the big island, but that’s it, and it’s almost certainly NOT what you had in mind. I’m certain that’s just one criteria you have in mind. I’m going to give you one BIG piece of advice…use a travel agent. For instance, FunHawaii.com doesn’t charge a service fee, and the dpeople KNOW Hawaii. They’ll ask you a few questions to find the atmosphere, setting, level of hotel service, then find the best resort or condo match. There are so many options and that’s one trip you don’t want to have ruined by some ridiculous flight schedule some such thing.

We are leaving in about a month. I have been a few times before. This time, my 16 month old son will be coming as well. What are somethings that I should remember to pack for a toddler?

Bring cool clothes for him. So he doesn’t be so hot and fussy. Bring alot of suntan lotion cause it gets really hot. And don’t forget to bring his shade thing for the car cause he can get irritated fast by the sun. And have a great trip here with him….

We are going to Honolulu and Maui for Break and i would like to know what are the best things to do? State you opinion

What dates are you going? Spring break? Be sure to go on a Humpback Whale boat tour in the water off Ka’anapali beach. There a hundreds, maybe thousands of whales in the shallow waters birthing their young. Really neat.

Take the drive to Hana. It’s lovely.

On Oahu, got to the north shore and watch the surfers. If you are a surfer try it, but it’s only for advanced surfers.

My fiance and I are considering Hawaii for our honeymoon in October. We would like to know if anyone out there has any advise on any deals, hotels, or places to see while we are there? Thanks.

Maui is the best Hawaiian island for a honeymoon. Maui is not nearly as crowded as Oahu (Honolulu, Waikiki). And Maui has a lot more to see and do than Kauai or the Big Island of Hawaii. If you have only one week for your honeymoon, you definitely should go to only one island, and not waste time trying to see two or more islands during your trip to Hawaii.

The following website about Maui has reviews and photos of the rooms, beaches, buildings, and pools of many of Maui’s hotels and condos. It also has lots of info about Maui restaurants, sights, things to see and do.

Some things you need to keep in mind. First of all, you need to avoid the summer crowd. That means you need to wait until August. You’ll get off-season discounts and package specials. Same goes for the airfare, but the air booking you need to finalize at the right time, and not wait till the last minute – Through a deal finder like Yahoo’s farechase or Kayak.

Secondly, about the hotel – You’ll get better rates if you choose a hotel slightly off the beach, instead of right on the beach. The more inside you go, the lower the rate.

Thirdly, the fact that you don’t have a hotel on the beach doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy whatever the beach front hotel offers. Beaches in Hawaii are all public. For example, the Hilton Hawaiaan Village has some A-grade facilities, with shops and beach-front activities – Which you can join in on, even if you’re not a guest.

I’m preparing a video montage of pictures from my recent Hawaii vacation and want to use a very uptempo Hawaii-esque song. Preferably including a ukulele or Elvis. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Elvis’ Hawaiian works (as wonderful and talented a singer as he was) would hardly classify as "classic Hawaiian". The Beach Boys’ surfing themes centered around the Southern California.
The following songs are very upbeat, includes ukulele, and are modern contemporary classics: Drop Baby Drop, Feel Good Island Music, Aloha Friday, Pata Pata, Masese, Tahiti-Tahiti, Island Style, Ki Taku Poi E, Ua Tofia.
For earlier up-tempo classics, look up works performed by Palani Vaughn, Makaha Sons, Keali’i Reichel, Peter Moon, the Beamer Bros., including Hula Kahiko chants.

Cruises you pay in installments before you go? giving you a year to pay for it?
Particularly curious about Hawaii vacations and Alaskan cruises.

When you make your cruise booking, you just need to place a deposit. Final payment is due 90 days prior to sailing. Many travel agents will allow you to make several payments prior your final payment.
