Ohana hotels (www.ohanahotels.com) probably has the best rates … and although you are coming at HIGH season … check www.ata.com out of Ontario (since that might be a little cheaper than LAX – less well-known)

But, my best advice is to go with a package deal, since you are traveling at high season. You can find some good ones at the website below, or in the Sunday LA Times, or the Sunday OC Register in the Travel Section.

I have a wedding in Hawaii in mid-June that is going to cost me a min. of $600 to get to. To maximize the $ I’d like to use Hawaii as a midway point to get to Australia or Japan (or any other suggestions) for a longer trip. Anyone know of any good deals where you can stop Hawaii heading out across the Pacific?

I suggest booking the two trips separately. Book your trip from LA to Hawaii, then book another from Hawaii to Japan or Australia. Just book your trip from Hawaii however many days later you want. It gives you time to enjoy Hawaii.

We stood in line from 130am the night before til 130pm the next day! It paid off though! WE MADE IT!!! What has your experience been regarding those in the tourist industry in Hawaii? Better or worse than other places? Personally, I haven’t had any really bad experiences but was wondering about others out there?

The people in Hawaii are some of the nicest I’ve ever met. I love it there! SNL was just trying to be funny. It was just a joke.
