My wife and I are planning a trip to Hawaii and staying at Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel (formerly ResortQuest). Are there any convenience stores within walking distance of this hotel? We will be on an "organized vacation budget" and will be looking for a Walgreen’s, for example.

Okay, here’s what you want to do.

ABC is expensive, so it is convienent, but pricey.
Food Pantry is in Waikiki, but also expensive.

Best bet, ask the hotel person how to get to Safeway on Kapahulu by bus (you could actually walk there in about 30 minutes or so, but might get tired with groceries). It’s is a really nice supermarket with everything. If you are able, sign up for their card to get the Safeway Card price.

My family (2 adults, 2 young children) is going to Owahu, Hawaii this Oct. Is there any suggestion about hotels, locations…Thanks

I recommend The Queen Kapiolani Hotel. For the location the prices can’t be beat.
The best part about this hotel is that it is one block from the beach, and there are rooms where you have an ocean view out one window and a view of Diamond Head out the other. It’s across the street from the Honolulu Zoo, so you wake in the morning to the sounds of elephants. It’s seen better days, but I’ve stayed in much worse. Join their Crown Club for the best rates.
We’ve stayed there the last couple of times we’ve been to Honolulu, and we are booked there for our vacation in September.

Looking for cheap hotels in Hawaii-don’t want to go through agent

Nothing in Hawaii is cheap, even for those of us who live here ;)

does anyone know any cheap hotels in oahu, hawaii? with cheap parking? cause i know waikiki has expensive parking. but i just need recommendations on cheap and nice hotels :] please and thank you.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://cheapest-travel-ever.info/xjis and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it’s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Where is a great luxury hotel in hawaii with a lot to do? Also stuff to do for 14-17 year olds?

Maui – Grand Wailea

Kauai – Princeville Resort

Big Island – anywhere in Waikaloa

Oahu – don’t bother, but if you must then Hilton Hawaiian Village
