2007-04-11 Hawaii TripHave free hotel in Kauai given to us for up to 1 wk. Are considering going to other islands in same trip. Any recommendations for islands and/or things to do on each?
Maui is awesome. Lots to do. Scuba, snorkeling, parasailing, luaus, dinner cruises. It’s a gorgeous place. Enjoy!
Just an estimate, 7day trip to Hawaii..
Where are you flying from? I would break it down like this:
Rental Car: $400
Hotel: This depends on where you stay. Some hotels rent from $62 to 400 a night.
Food/Drink: I would say in Waikiki at least 300, unless you want to eat a lot of plate lunches and buy your own booze.
Don’t forget about souvenirs and if you want to visit museums or luaus or anything like that.
Levi’s bmx – Hawaii TripI am going to Hawaii in May and want to get a nice base tan before I leave. I live in Portland, OR, so the chances of me getting a tan is a big, fat zero.
When should I start going to a tanning salon? I tan fairly easily and don’t burn easily.
I’d say 4 weeks 3 or 4 times a week. It’ll take you 2 weeks just to get to the full tanning time. Don’t go 2 days in a row in the 1st 2 weeks. The good thing about 4 week schedule is a lot of places have a 1 month package – it’s cheaper than pay-per-visit.
Summer 1999 I took my god sons’ family to Hawaii. My god sons are ages 8, 10, 16, and 20. Wore loincloths a lot. We spent 2 months there. Was a great vacation.

I want to go to Hawaii. It’s been my dream to go. If I were to save to go to Hawaii for about a week, how much would it cost? What is the best airline to travel by? Best Hotel to stay at?
From the west coast, airfares are around $400 and are likely to stay low for most of the year due to the economy. Hotels in Waikiki range from $100-400 a night (the lower price also reflecting the economy). There are lots of deals for a week. You would want to have spending money for attractions and possibly a car for a few days (lots of things are easily accessible by bus, though). So let’s say maybe $2000 for a week at minimum.
We were on top of a mountainside in Hawaii. This guy climbs up and asks us to use our camera to record him…while he proposes to his girlfriend. This was a few years ago. We never got the video to him because my husband lost his information. So, maybe he might find it on youtube. Beware he is a little on the dramatic side.

I would like to get married in Hawaii and take my immediate family. The problem is that I have no idea how much it is or where to start. What websites or agencies are the best to work with? Looking for the most romantic, 5 star experience with finances in mind.

We’ve never been on a cruise, or to the Caribbean, or anyplace ultra tropical, so it would be great. Concerned about LONG flight to Hawaii, but I hear it’s worth it! If you’ve been to Hawaii- which islands are best?
Maybe we should go to both!
Do the cruise to Caribbean ,they are the BEST!!!! you’ll never find a better place to go then on a cruise! because the trip is on a ship not on a LONG plane ride! your out in the middle of the Caribbean sea!and you can go to more then just one place! you can to to like 5 places! not just 1!
